Know Her? Woman Accused Of Passing Counterfeit Bill In Area

Police are attempting to identify a woman who allegedly used a counterfeit $100 bill at an area market, according to state police.

The woman purportedly used the counterfeit bill in Ulster County at Tantillo's Farm Market in Gardiner at approximately 3:36 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The bill's serial number was "LE09714562E," and police said it has also been used in Orange and Dutchess counties.

The woman, police said, has tattoos on her right forearm, left arm and on her chest that read "Ethan" in a circle.

After using the counterfeit bill, the woman reportedly left the scene as a passenger in a nondescript black Cadillac with no front license plate or identifiable markings, belonging to a black man who police said has been known to pass counterfeited money in the village of Florida in Orange County.

Anyone with pertinent information is asked to contact Investigator Matthew Terwilliger at the state police barracks in Highland at 845-691-2922.
